Bizzabo Integration- What Happens When a Housing Site Launches Before Bizzabo Integration Is Set Up?

In some cases, your Resiada housing site may go live and begin accepting reservations before the integration with Bizzabo is configured. When this happens, there are a few important updates and actions to be aware of to ensure a smooth guest experience and complete data sync.

🔗 What Changes After Integration?

Once the Bizzabo integration is added to the housing site:

• The booking URLs from Resiada will change.

  The new URLs will now include the Bizzabo Event ID to enable proper data linkage between systems.

• You must update any posted booking links.

  If you had previously shared or embedded booking URLs (e.g., on a website, in emails, or on social media), those links must be updated to the new URLs that contain the Event ID.

🌟 The Ideal Guest Experience (After Integration)

Once integration is in place, the booking process for guests is seamless:

1. A guest registers for the event through Bizzabo.
2. On the final confirmation page, they click Book Housing (this set up is on the Bizzabo)
3. This launches Resiada with their Order ID already embedded, granting them direct access to their specific room block.
4. Alternatively, the hotel access link in the Bizzabo registration confirmation email also includes their Order ID and allows access in the same way.

🧾 What About Reservations Made Before the Integration?

If reservations were created before the Bizzabo integration was added, a few manual steps are required to ensure proper data sync:

• You will need to manually enter the Bizzabo Order ID into each guest record in Resiada.

  This can be done by searching for the reservation in Resiada and updating the record with the correct Order ID.

• Once updated, you must manually reissue the reservation acknowledgment email.

  This ensures the guest receives the updated reservation URL, which now includes their Order ID and links correctly to their Bizzabo registration.

⚠️ Important: Without the updated URL, guests will not be able to access or modify their reservation through the integrated flow.

📋 Reporting Tips

To help you track integration status:

• Create a custom Rooming List report in Resiada that includes the Registration ID (Order ID) field.
• This will clearly show which reservations already have an Order ID and which ones still need to be updated.
