How does reservation fee work?

The reservation fee can be set up either at the hotel level or the sub-block level. If the fee applies to all guests, it should be set up on the Hotels step for all hotels. If only certain guests (e.g., specific groups) will be charged, the fee should be configured on the Sub Blocks step for the relevant sub-blocks.

Additionally, you can choose whether to charge the reservation fee at the time of booking. If you opt to charge at the time of booking, please ensure your merchant account is set up to process these charges. This approach is often used to generate additional revenue for the event, and in such cases, the fee is typically labeled as a "processing fee" or "reservation fee."
