Managing/Modifying Reservations
Need to tweak an existing reservation in the Resiada back office? Whether it’s changing room details or updating guest information, here’s how you can modify reservations with ease.
Step 1: Accessing the Reservation
- Navigate to the Reservation Group Page: Start by going to the reservation group page in the Resiada back office.
- Select the Reservation: Click on the desired existing reservation under the ‘Reservations’ tab.
Step 2: Viewing Reservation Details
- Review Reservation Details: Upon selecting a reservation, you can view various details, including a cost breakdown for each day and a financial summary for the room.
Step 3: Making Changes
- Editing the Reservation: To make changes, click on the ‘Edit’ button. This will bring up the search criteria, allowing you to select a new room that meets the adjusted criteria.
- Changing Payment Method:
- If a payment has already been made for the reservation, you can change the payment method by clicking the ‘Change Payment Method’ button located below the reservation details.
- Note: Changing the payment method will prompt a warning to remove any existing payments tied to the reservation.
- Updating Reservation Details:
- Discount Code: The reservation can be updated with a discount code if applicable.
- Rooming List Notes: Add or update rooming list notes specific to the reservation to be presented to the hotel.
- Special Requests: Incorporate any special requests into the reservation.
- Guest Details: Add or update guest details as needed.
- Primary Guest: Remember, a primary guest must be added to the reservation before any changes can be saved.
Important Considerations
- Accuracy: Ensure all details are accurate and updated as per the latest information.
- Primary Guest Requirement: Changes cannot be saved without adding a primary guest to the reservation.
- Payment Method Warning: Be cautious when changing payment methods, especially if payments have already been processed.
